Educational Justice Founder Moshe Ohayon Works to Close the Gap

Moshe Ohayon of Louisville, KY, founded Educational Justice in 2010 after working with bright, but low-income students who felt that college was not an option for them. Ohayon discovered that students from less well-off areas in Louisville had significant learning gaps that kept them at a disadvantage when it came to advanced classes and college entrance exams. A nonprofit organization, Educational Justice’s mission is to provide supplemental academic tutoring and training to enable underserved students to succeed in high school, achieve higher standardized test scores, and gain acceptance to college. Program participants have repeatedly boosted their ACT scores by as much as 10 points and have collectively earned over $215,000 in college scholarships.
