Trying a herbal capsule.

Upon the recommendation of a colleague, I tried an herbal capsule said to battle whatever ailment you have in your system. It fights cancer cells, aches and pains in your joints, repairs damaged cells, detoxifies the body, and so much more. It can actually make you healthy if you religiously drink it, according to the leaflets given to my colleague.

Before anything else, I’d like to make a confession. I am wary of herbal medicine. I know some of those out there work but I have heard about people being duped out of their hard-earned money into buying a lot of these herbal medicine stuff and not getting the results they expected out of it. I am wary also of herbal medicine because not all are tested by the FDA.

But I’ve been experiencing some tingling in my joints specifically in my ankles. I know that it is a symptom of gout and high uric acid. Since I don’t like going to the doctor to get myself checked, I thought why not give the herbal capsule a try?

I took 6 capsules. Took and drank one immediately that day my colleague gave it to me for trial. After 24 hours of taking the first capsule, I felt the lessening of the tingles in my ankles. It might be a trick of the mind, you can say, so I continued taking the capsules. I stopped at capsule number 3. You know why? The tingles in my ankles were gone!

I have not changed anything in my diet. I didn’t take anything else, not even my daily dose of vitamin C. I just took the herbal capsule once each day for three days and I felt so much better.

I gave the remaining 3 capsules to my sister. She felt the same way. We were both experiencing symptoms of gout and high uric acid so I knew the capsules worked their magic.

I want to continue drinking it but I am still saving up some money to buy a box. Quite pricey if you are on a budget like me. I think I’ll pick up a box by January next year.

I have heard other great results to those who took it. I will update here again about this herbal capsule once I am regularly taking it already.

Gallstones: Painful little stones

What are gallstones?

Gallstones (commonly misspelled gall stones or gall stone) are solid particles that form from bile cholesterol and bilirubin in the gallbladder. The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ on the right side of your abdomen, just beneath your liver. The gallbladder holds a digestive fluid called bile that’s released into your small intestine.

Gallstones normally form when there is too much cholesterol in the bile. The liver basically helps dissolve these stones through the bile but if there is more stones than the bile can dissolve, it creates gallstones. I believe this is the most common cause of gallstones just like what happened to my sister a couple of weeks ago. She kept experiencing sudden and intense pain in the upper right area of her breastbone so she consulted a specialist who immediately conducted an abdominal ultrasound as well as other tests on her. She tested positive on gallstones and since she already has too many that taking oral medicine couldn’t help solve anymore, she was scheduled to undergo a cholecystectomy or the removal of the gall bladder.

Those who are without gall bladders are advised by their doctors to be careful of what they eat. Avoid oily food or anything that will be hard to digest. Exercise and keep a really healthy diet.

Of course, prevention is always better than cure. Stay healthy, exercise and watch your weight. It will help prevent gallstones and will make your body healthy.
